GRIDS

These grids show the mandatory position and size of the British Council logo on the covers of all printed documents and posters. The British Council logo must always appear in one of the two positions indicated – top left or bottom left. Please choose whichever is most appropriate for the layout.

The zip file download below contains QuarkXPress template grids for a range of standard format covers. The generic corporate British Council logo file is also enclosed within the zip file in .EPS format. Please note that if you are using a bespoke document size please contact us for guidance.

To download any of the files, right-click (Windows) or control-click (Mac) the appropriate icon below and choose the 'Save Link As...' (or equivalent) option.

On A2 files the logo is imported at 200 per cent and is 25mm from the left-hand side and 25mm from the top or bottom of the document.

On A3 files the logo is imported at 130 per cent and is 20mm from the left-hand side and 20mm from the top or bottom of the document.

On A4 files the logo is imported at 100 per cent and is 15mm from the left-hand side and 15mm from the top or bottom of the document.

On A5 files the logo is imported at 90 per cent and is 10mm from the left-hand side and 10mm from the top or bottom of the document.

On DL files the logo is imported at 90 per cent and is 10mm from the left-hand side and 10mm from the top or bottom of the document.
