STATIONERY

The colour guidelines for stationery are as follows.

The colours used on all British Council corporate stationery are Pantone™ 2995 for the symbol and Pantone™ 295 for the name. When used on stationery, the logo must not be reproduced using the four-colour process.

Letterheads, compliment slips and business cards may be produced by lithoprint only, using templates authorised by Design Department. These templates are available in QuarkXPress format only for both Macintosh and PC printers. Designers who are commissioned to produce corporate stationery for the British Council must use these templates, which can be downloaded from the Identity Standards intranet site.

Taffeta Ivory White paper and board should always be used for printed stationery. Where this is not available, please use Conqueror Diamond White CX22. Alternatively, please contact Andrea Ward in the Design Department for further advice.

For short addresses, each element of the address should be on a separate line. For longer addresses, you can run elements together to save space

For business cards DO NOT:

add marketing messages

use multiple addresses and telephone numbers

use multiple web addresses.

Personal mobile telephone numbers are not usually permitted unless business requirements make their inclusion necessary. If in doubt, please check with Design Department
