OUR STRAPLINE

Straplines communicate the principal offer of the brand. The British Council straplines are:

Creating opportunities worldwide
Creating opportunities for people worldwide

It is not mandatory to include the corporate strapline in your communication materials but, if you choose to do so, you may use only the approved versions above. To ensure consistency across your communications, you should choose and use one within your country or region – not a combination of both. You must not translate the straplines into languages other than English or use or create any other corporate strapline.

Note: you are still permitted to use marketing messages such as ‘Success tomorrow starts today’.

OUR LEGAL DESCRIPTOR

All business stationery, such as letter-headed paper and compliment slips, is required to carry the following statement:

The United Kingdom’s international organisation for cultural relations and educational opportunities. A registered charity: 209131 (England and Wales) SC037733 (Scotland).

Other printed communications are not required to do so.
